VIDEO. At Roland Garros, the audience booed Svitolina after the match with Sobolenko.
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (No. 192 WTA) Lost to world second racket Arina Sobolenko in the French Open Tennis 1/4 final.
After the end of the match, Svitolina did not even look in the direction of her opponent, who was defiantly waiting for her at the handshake net. For this, the Ukrainian was booed by the fans in the stands of the French major’s central arena, Philippe Chatrier.
It is interesting that after the match with Marta Kostyuk, Sobolenko told the press that she understood why Ukrainian women do not shake hands with representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. Also, in a conversation with reporters, Svitolina had previously discussed her position in detail.
After the negative reaction from the stands going to Svitolina, Sobolenko smirked in the direction he was boxing.
