After a three-hour fight, Karolina Mukhova (No. 43) won in the first women’s semi-final in Roland Garros with 2:1 sets (7:6, 6:7, 7:5) against Aryna Sabalenka (No. 2) and progressed to first major final of her career, where she faces Iga Sviontek (No. 1) or Beatriz Haddad Maia.

The 26-year-old Czech won the first set 7-6 and ensured the Belarusian equalized the set 1-1, prevailing with the same score and taking a 5-2 lead in the third set. But Muhova won five games in a row to achieve victory and qualification for the Roland Garros final.
