Not Sobolenko. Roland Garros’ first finalist announced

On June 8, the first match of the 1/2 finals of the French Open tennis champion in women’s singles was held, in which Karolina Muchova (43 WTA) defeated Arina Sobolenko (2 WTA).

The first two sets were played with tiebreaks, in the third set – Czech managed to regain the match point and turn the tide of the match from a score of 2:5. Carolina won 19 of the last 23 points in the game.

It was the second match of the tennis players, the score was even.

In the first round, Carolina eliminated Greece’s No. 8 Maria Sakkari. The Czech has yet to lose in five matches against their top 3 rivals in the world rankings.

In the final, Muchova will face Iga Swiatek (WTA #1) or Beatrice Haddad Maia (WTA #14).

If Swiatek does not reach the final, Sobolenko will become the world’s first racket.
