Sviontek, maintaining its status as the 1st racket in the world, reached the final at Roland Garros

On 8 June, the second leg of the French Open women’s 1/2 final was played, where Iga Sviontek (WTA Number 1) defeated Beatrice Haddad Maia (WTA Number 14).

The Polish tennis player took the win in two sets.

It was the second match of the tennis players, the score was even. Haddad Maia had never won more than one Grand Slam match before.

In the final, Sviontek will face Karolina Muchova from the Czech Republic (#43 WTA). Reaching the final will allow the Polish woman to retain her status as the world’s first racket after the end of the tournament.

Previously, Iga played in the soil major final twice and won championships both times.
