Tsitsipas: “Alcarath moves like Speedy Gonzalez, Djokovic has the experience”
Stefanos Tsitsipas has been asked to offer predictions for the Roland Garros super semi-final between Carlos Alcarath and Novak Djokovic.
Stefanos Tsitsipas was asked to do the impossible, which is to predict the winner of the Roland Garros Super Semifinal between the No. 1 ranked and the No. 1 Grand Slam title, namely Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.
The Greek champions lost to the 20-year-old Spaniard in the quarter-finals and drew a first comparison ahead of Friday’s semi-finals.
“See, one has the experience, the other has the feet and moves like Speedy Gonzalez, so there’s that. Alcarath can hit long, long shots and Djokovic prefers control more than anything, maybe control and accuracy to pressure exercise and make the opponent “move as much as possible”.
He subsequently declined to make a prediction: “I’m not good at predictions, so I’ll avoid them. But let’s see. May the best win.”
