Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva reached the third round of the Australian Open.

In the second round match, eighth seed Andreeva defeated Maria Sakkari of Greece with a score of 6:0, 6:4. The meeting lasted 1 hour 7 minutes.

Medvedev is 29 years old and a native of Moscow. In 2025, several Russian tennis players switched to the flags of other countries: Daria Kasatkina (Australia), Anastasia Potapova (Austria), Kamilla Rakhimova, Maria Timofeeva and Polina Kudermetova (all from Uzbekistan).
