Kasper Ruud was impressive against Alexander Zverev, winning 3-0 sets and qualifying for the Roland Garros final.
Cassper Rudd reached the Roland Garros final. The Norwegian won a 3-0 set against Alexander Zverev and meets Novak Djokovic on Sunday (June 11, 4:00 p.m.).
This is his third Grand Slam final and his second straight at the French Open, where he faced Rafael Nadal last year.
The match: From the start of the game, Casper Rude was the one who showed he was in better shape and had the solutions against Alexander Zverev.
In the first set, the Norwegian took the lead with a break and took a 2-0 lead. Zverev came straight back, but the Norwegian immediately made it again and then held his serve for a 4-1 lead.
Then Zverev had complete control of the set and had another break chance but didn’t convert it as Rudd finished the first set 6-3.
Things were easier in the second set. The German had another chance to break Rudd’s serve but failed. Instead, the Norwegian got the only chance he created and then finished the set 6-4.
Since psychology was at its peak, Kasper Rud also dominated the third set. The Norwegian did what he wanted on the pitch against the visibly frustrated Alexander Zverev, finishing the game 6-0.
