Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Alexei Selivanenko said that there were prerequisites for the participation of Russian tennis player Alina Korneeva in the finals of the junior Roland Garros.

On Saturday, Korneeva won the final of the French Open among juniors over the representative of Peru, Lusiana Pérez-Alarcón, with a score of 7:6 (7:4), 6:3.

– I think Alina herself should be satisfied, but whether everyone else is satisfied is secondary. The hardest match she had was the first. Indeed, there was a struggle until the last ball. Winning two junior high school championships is a great achievement for any athlete. This fixes a certain stage of the junior career, and then the most important begins. There were, of course, prerequisites for Alina to reach the final, – Selivanenko told the Championship.

Korneeva is ranked 331st in the WTA rankings. On account of the 15-year-old Russian woman, two titles in ITF tournaments, she also won the junior Australian Open.
