Women’s World Ranking: Sviontek stayed first, Sakkari eighth and a big climb for Muhova
Iga Sviontek remained at the top of the world rankings after Roland Garros, Maria Sakkari is consistent in eighth place, while Muhova will climb higher than ever.
The end of Roland Garros brings with it several rearrangements in the women’s world rankings, but not at the top where Iga Svyotek will remain.
Second will be Arina Sambalenka and eighth will be Maria Sakkari. Those three positions, along with Samsonova’s 15th and Ostapenko’s 17th, are the only constants in the top 20.
Karolina Muhova, of course, records a huge rise. The 26-year-old Czech climbed 27 places to take her first career career 16th place in the world rankings, while her previous best was 19th.
From then on, Haddad Maia will be in the top ten in the world rankings for the first time in her career, while Rybakina will also be higher than ever and gain one place.
