Roland Garros 2023 doubles winners announced
On June 11, the 2023 French Open women’s tennis championship was held in the doubles final.
Tandems were played in the championship fight Xie Shuwei (Chinese Taipei) / Wang Xiyu (China) and Leyla Fernandez (Canada) / Taylor Townsend (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA). The match ended with a three-set defeat by the Canadian-American duo in 2 hours and 12 minutes.

Xie Shuwei and Wang Xiyu only played their second tournament together. Before Roland Garros, they played in Strasbourg, where they only won 1 game.
For 37-year-old Xie Shuwei, this is his fifth Grand Slam title and his second in the French Major. For a Chinese woman, this is the first award at this level.
