Djokovic: Nole’s unimaginable number at Roland Garros that shows his difference from the rest
Novak Djokovic has reached Roland Garros for the third time in his career and there is one number that shows his big difference from the rest.
Novak Djokovic made history again after conquering Roland Garros and clinching 23 Grand Slam titles, climbing to the top of the relevant list.
To win the title, Nole had to overcome several hurdles while proving once again that at 36 he’s still at the top level.
Setting aside his match against Alcarath, which actually saw two sets played as the Spaniard was injured in the other two, Nole reached his goal in total control.
Performance beyond logic
However, there was one number that clearly shows its essential difference from all others and above all the incredible way of handling the critical points.
Of the seven games he played en route to the title, Novak Djokovic played at least one set in tiebreaks in five of them.
Now let’s look at his numbers in this state. Nole played a total of six tie breaks and won them all. And if that 100% he had in the tiebreak isn’t enough, let’s look at the individual data.
In those six tiebreaks, Nole played 55 points, winning 42 and losing just 13. Even more impressive? With 55 points and under, apparently due to the special conditions of the tie-break, he didn’t make a single easy mistake!
Without a doubt, this is an unimaginable feat that also shows his huge difference from the other tennis players on the court.
Djokovic’s tie-break results
- Kovacevic 7-6 (1)
- Fucovich 7-6 (2)
- Davidovich Fokina 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5)
- Khachanov 7-6 (0)
- Rudd 7-6 (1)
