Novak Djokovic has adopted Kobe Bryant’s ‘mamba mentality’
Novak Djokovic is the ambassador of Kobe Bryant’s “mamba mentality,” as he explained after his Roland Garros win in 2023.
Novak Djokovic made history on Sunday afternoon (06/11) by beating Casper Rudd at Roland Garros, becoming the first player with 23 Grand Slam titles. The Serbian tennis player was the big favorite in this final and beforehand made sure to prepare a specially made jacket for his success. When asked about this, he revealed that he was a supporter of Kobe Bryant’s mamba mentality.
Djokovic said at length: “Mamba mentality. Kobe Bryant. You know it’s gonna happen before it even happens. I really believe in this power. That mental power that you project your thoughts and create your future. It’s easy to say now, but I really believed in it.” I could reach those limits. Basically there are no limits. I’ll keep going and I’m looking forward to the next Grand Slam.”
