Russian tennis player Yaroslav Demin said that in the future he hopes to win Wimbledon and the US Open, and in five years he plans to be in the top 50 of the ATP rankings.
On June 10, 17-year-old Demin became the champion of the junior Roland Garros in doubles. In the final, the Russian paired with the Mexican Rodrigo Mendez outplayed the duet of Italians Lorenzo Shabazi – Gabriele Woolpitta in two sets – 6:2, 6:3.
– In five years, I definitely see myself in the top 50 ATP. Wimbledon and the US Open hopefully I can win singles and doubles as well. And in two years I hope to be in the top 200, top 300 ATP, so that I can already try to qualify for the senior TSH. Especially if you finish the year in the top 10, and I’m No. 7 in the junior rankings, they give you eight wild cards for the challengers, I have already used four. The rest – after “RG” and Wimbledon. Already played in Spain and the Czech Republic. I played with guys from the top 100, and with some I played in three sets and could beat. But I’m not yet ready physically and mentally,” Demin said to the “Championship”.
