Nick KYRIOS: “In 2019 I found myself in a London psychiatric clinic”
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios In the second series of the Netflix documentary Break Point, he admitted that he was admitted to a London psychiatric clinic during 2019 Wimbledon and was contemplating taking his own life.
Kyrgios described 2019 as the lowest point of his career.
“I sincerely thought about whether I wanted to commit suicide. I drank, I used drugs, I lost contact with my family, I excluded all my close friends.
I lost at Wimbledon. I woke up and my father was sitting on the bed crying. This was a big wake-up call for me. I thought, “Okay, this can’t go on”. I found myself in a London psychiatric clinic to deal with my problems,” Nick said.
Note that last year Kyrgios played in the Wimbledon final.
