Alexandrova’s style is suitable for playing on grass, says Selivanenko
Alexei Selivanenko, Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF), believes that the style of Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova is suitable for playing on grass.
Alexandrova defeated compatriot Veronika Kudermetova in the final of the tennis tournament in Hertogenbosch (Netherlands) with a score of 4:6, 6:4, 7:6 (7:3).
– It is obvious that Ekaterina has perfectly adapted to the game in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Her style is basically suitable for playing on grass, she successfully uses all her strengths.
What are the expectations now from the girls at Wimbledon? Each next tournament is a new confrontation, and a successful start to the grass segment of the season gives a boost of optimism, Selivanenko told RB Sport.
Wimbledon will be held from 3 to 16 July.
