Alexei Selivanenko, Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation, member of the ITF Board of Directors, believes that Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev played a good match in the first round of the tournament in Halle.
Medvedev, who received the first seed at the tournament, won the match with the American Marcos Giron with a score of 6:4, 6:3.
– Such a class victory, not particularly prolonged in time, is a good result for the first round at such a tournament at the beginning of the grass section of the season.
As for the psychological effect, none of the tennis players makes the drama of several defeats in a row and does not experience euphoria from several victories in a row. They play every week. This is a routine,” Selivanenko told Vprognoze.ru.
In the second round, the first racket of Russia will meet with Serb Laszlo Djere.
