Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova defeated Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in the first round of the WTA 250 grass tournament in Birmingham (UK).
The fourth seed Potapova won with a score of 6:7 (6:8), 7:5, 6:4. The meeting lasted a little over two and a half hours.
In the second round, Potapova will play with American Cathy McNally.
