(Halle) Roberto Bautista-Agut upset favorite Daniil Medvedev 7-5, 7-6(3) in the quarterfinals at the Halle tournament on Friday.

Medvedev had all 12 aces in the game, but Agut took the break 2-1 advantage.

Earlier Friday, Jannik Sinner pulled out against Alexander Bublik with a groin injury.

Ranked ninth in the world, Sinner injured himself while slipping trying to reach one of Bublik’s many drop shots.

Sinner was in the quarter-finals for the ninth time this season. He also reached that same point at Wimbledon last year.

Bublik’s next rival will be Alexander Zverev, who beat Nicolas Jarry 7-5, 6-3.
