On June 23, the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 series turf tournament were held in Birmingham (England).

The first seed of the competition, Barbora Kreychikova, confidently beat Linda Frugvirtova in straight sets.

Second-seeded Alena Ostapenko made an incredible comeback. The Latvian lost 4:6, 0:4 (30:40) in the match against Magdalena Frenkh, but managed to return to the game and win the match.
