Sakkari: Your tie at Eastbourne
The draw for the Eastbourne tournament has been made after Maria Sakkari found out about her possible route to the tournament.
A week before entering the battle of Wimbledon, Maria Sakkari will join many other important names in the Eastbourne tournament.
This is also why the 27-year-old Greek has an extremely tough road ahead of her if she wants to progress in this particular tournament.
In the first round, she faces Kalinina, whom she eliminated in the tournament’s inaugural event last year. Then she will find one of Pliskova and Mertens opposite her.
Garcia will likely be waiting for her in the quarterfinals, while one of Zambe, Kvitova and Ostapenko will be waiting for her in the quarterfinals.
On the other side of the scoreboard, the names of Rybakina, Krejcikova and Hadan Maia stand out.
