Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Alexei Selivanenko believes that the Russian Andrey Rublev could not return to the game during the third set in the final of the ATP‑500 grass tournament in Halle.
The representative of Kazakhstan, Alexander Bublik, beat Rublev on Sunday with a score of 6:3, 3:6, 6:3.
– The final turned out to be spectacular, with a lot of sparkling draws. Andrei let Alexander go too far at the beginning of the third set – as a result, in such a game, he was no longer able to restore balance, – Selivanenko told the Championship.
Next, Rublev will perform at Wimbledon, which starts on July 3 in London (UK).
