Visa not issued

Information about problems with Kudermetova Jr. appeared earlier this week. The girl was not included in the list of qualifying participants due to “schedule changes”. Subsequently, it turned out that Polina was not issued a British visa.

This fact alone raises questions. And even more suspicious is the fact that the British are somehow too confused in the testimony. As if they themselves do not know why Kudermetova ends up missing Wimbledon.

No explanation

Polina’s father, two-time Russian hockey champion Eduard Kudermetov, told the details on Match TV. According to him, the British shoved all the blame on the very same tennis player.

– First, they wrote a letter from Wimbledon that they could not give Polina a visa, which they regret. And then in the article they write that her plans have changed. She still has no visa. The authorities do not explain why they do not give a visa to Polina, although the passport is in the embassy, ​​”Kudermetov said on Match TV.

Polina herself, of course, was upset. Still: so much to prepare for the tournament – and not to go! But the athlete is holding on with dignity.

– Now I’m in Kazan, I’m training, preparing for the tournament in Sweden. How did you feel about not going to Wimbledon? At first it was unpleasant, but I was preparing. But now everything is fine, I have returned to normal and I am preparing for other tournaments. Everything that is done is for the better, – said Kudermetova Jr. on the air of Match TV.

It is possible that the current situation is related to sponsor’s stripes on the uniform. The WTA believes that Polina cannot use the financial assistance of certain companies on the sanctions lists. The same story touched her sister Veronica at Roland Garros.
