Medvedev was lucky that Djokovic got into the other half of the Wimbledon bracket, says Yanchuk
Honored coach of Russia in tennis Viktor Yanchuk does not consider Russian Daniil Medvedev a favorite in the men’s draw of Wimbledon 2023.
Medvedev in the first round of Wimbledon, held on grass courts, will play with Briton Arthur Fury.

It is difficult to make any predictions for the upcoming tournament. On the grass you can expect a surprise from any tennis player. A good stable serve will solve a lot – Medvedev has this skill. He just needs to use it right.
I can’t call Daniil one of the Wimbledon favorites. For me, there are two of them – Djokovic and Alcaraz. The two strongest players at the moment. Medvedev has been unsuccessful on grass so far this year. He needs to tune in very well for the upcoming Grand Slam,” Yanchuk told the “Championship”.
