(Paris) The Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, back at the top of the ATP rankings at the end of June thanks to his victory at Queen’s, approaches Wimbledon with the status of world No.1, while the American Tommy Paul regains the best ranking of his career ( 15e), Monday.

No change is recorded in the Top 10 this week, Alcaraz ahead of Serbian legend Novak Djokovic (2e) – who will defend his title in the London Grand Slam – and the Russian Daniil Medvedev (3e).

You have to go down to 15e row to observe the rise of two places of Tommy Paul, thanks to his final Saturday at the Eastbourne tournament. The 26-year-old American thus regains his best ranking, already reached in mid-June.

His victorious opponent in Eastbourne, the Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, certainly also scores points, but that does not allow him to improve his 19e place.

In addition to the confidence accumulated before Wimbledon, he can however be proud of having been the first Argentine titled on grass since 1995.
