Kafelnikov: “Football is the most popular sport in Russia”

The most titled tennis player in the history of Russia, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, told RB Sport that football is the number one sport in Russia.
– Football is the number one sport in Russia, you don’t even have to reinvent the wheel and think what and how! It’s clear! The majority of the population of the Russian Federation are football people! This is the most popular sport in our country, Kafelnikov said.
Football in 2022 took first place in Russia in terms of the number of people involved, 3,337,498 people are involved in it. Swimming is in the second position (2 554 606), volleyball rounded out the top 3 (2 497 396).
