Carlos Alcarath impressed on his Wimbledon debut. The Spaniard won Sardi’s set 3-0 and advanced to the second round.
Alkarath stormed in the first two sets and won 6-0 and 6-2 in 54 minutes. Even more impressive is that he managed to do this in straight sets with just three unforced errors!
Sardi led 4:2 in the third set, but Carlos Alcarath answered immediately and equalized the set (4:4). Afterward, was close to another break but Sardi held on.
Alkarath finally made the break in the 11th game and ended the game 7:5. In the next round, the Spaniard meets the winner of the game between Alexander Müller and Artur Rinderenech.
