Tsitsipas: “I don’t expect anyone to support me against Murray, I would like to play on center court”
Referring to the match with Andy Murray after his win over Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas said he doesn’t expect to have anyone’s support while expressing his desire to compete on the main Wimbledon pitch.
Stefanos Tsitsipas achieved a magnificent victory over Thiem in a two-day match and qualified for the next round of Wimbledon where he faces Andy Murray, who plays at home.
The Greek tennis player spoke about the fight with Tim in his subsequent on-court statements, he mentioned the match with Murray, who will play at home, and was also asked about his participation in the mixed game alongside Paula Bandosa.
Have you played against each other several times? Was it a pressure game?
“I feel a lot of pressure, I don’t know how many hours we played. I’m very happy that I finally won. It was one of the really good games I’ve ever played against Tim, and it was pretty difficult at the same time.” . We fought hard, I hope you enjoyed it too. I wish him all the best.”

“I don’t expect anyone to support me. And it won’t be the first time. I remember when I was young I saw his first Wimbledon title and he saw it in the final several times. He is a great asset to our sport.” . I hope to do my best. I would like to play on center court.
Now you play doubles with your brother and mixed doubles with your partner who just won and came to you?
“When I found out, I had no idea how he’d won.”
Was it more relaxing for you to be here?
“It was more stressful. I didn’t think I would play singles, doubles and mixed. It is a great joy to play with the people that I have in my life. For me a dream has come true. Ever since I was little.” As a kid, I thought about how I would play in those areas.
