Djokovic became the first finalist at Wimbledon, beating Sinner in three sets.
On June 14, the first leg of the 1/2 finals of Wimbledon 2023 in men’s singles was played, and Serbia’s second-seeded Novak Djokovic beat Italian tennis player Yannick Sinner (ATP 8).

It was the 3rd match between tennis players, Djokovic has not lost yet.
The Serbian tennis player has not tasted the bitterness of a turf major defeat since 2017. It has since won four championships, with no tournament held in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This is Djokovic’s 35th Grand Slam final. At Wimbledon, Novak has won his last nine games against world top ten players.
In the final, Novak will play against Daniil Medvedev (ATP 3) or Carlos Alcaraz (ATP 1).

Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov made it to the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Khachanov, who received the 15th seed, beat the 38th racket of the world, American Alex Mickelsen, with a score of 4:6, 6:4, 6:3, 5:7, 6:3. The athletes were on the court for 3 hours 55 minutes. The Russian needed eight match points to win.
Khachanov’s next opponent will be the winner of the match between Christopher O’Connell (Australia, WC) and Nishesh Basavareddy (USA, Q).

Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina reached the second round of the Grand Slam tournament in Australia.
At the start of the competition, the fifth racket of the world beat Slovenian Kaja Juvan, who finished in the top 100 in the world rankings. The meeting lasted 1 hour 12 minutes and ended with a score of 6:4, 6:3 in favor of Rybakina.
In the next round, the Moscow native will play against French representative Varvara Gracheva. Both athletes previously competed at international tournaments for Russia.
