Wimbledon: Defeat and disqualification for Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas in doubles
Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas lost 2-1 to Arthur Fils and Luka Van As and were eliminated from the Wimbledon doubles.
Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas’ Wimbledon doubles run ended in the first round after the Greek duo lost 2-1 to Frenchmen Arthur Fils and Luca Van As.
This is the game that started on Friday and was stopped when the score was 1-1 due to a lack of lighting on the pitch where it was played.
With Saturday’s game not taking place due to postponements caused by the rain, the third set was played on Sunday. There, the Tsitsipas brothers won the first two games, but the rest belonged to the French.
The Arthur Fils and Luca Van As won the next six games, finishing the game 7-6, 4-6, 2-6. Now Stefanos Tsitsipas will focus on the singles where he will face Chris Eubanks in the fourth round.
