Paula Bandosa has received a barrage of macho insults on Instagram after Tsitsipas was disqualified after his 3-2 defeat by Wimbledon’s Chris Eubanks.

Stefanos Tsitsipas’ run at Wimbledon ended in the fourth round after Chris Eubanks (No. 43) defeated world No. 5 in sets 3-2 to advance to the quarterfinals.

The Greek tennis player’s defeat has sparked a wave of macho insults directed at his lover Paula Bandosa on social media. The Spanish athlete posted a photo of herself on Istagram yesterday (11/07) and wrote in the caption: “A setback is simply a preparation for a better comeback”

That phrase of hers angered a majority of her followers on Instagram, who started commenting under the 25-year-old’s post. “Did Stefanos write that caption?”, “Since you started at Stefanos, your career is over. So sad.”, “Think less about the soft… and think about the play”were some of the offensive comments he received.
