Djokovic: The first in the Open Era with 35 finals
Novak Djokovic reached 35 Grand Slam final qualifiers and now stands alone at the top of the relevant list.
Yannick Sinner’s obstacle proved minor for Novak Djokovic. Nole won 3-0 sets against the Italian and advanced to the Wimbledon final.
In doing so, the legendary Serb managed to put his name at the top of the impressive list of names that compose it.
At this point, Novak Djokovic has reached 35 Grand Slam finals, which no other male or female athlete has achieved.
That leaves Chris Evert in second place on the relevant list with 34 finals appearances, while Serena Williams sits in third place.
At the same time, among men, Roger Federer is second at 31 and Rafael Nadal is third at 30.
