16-year-old Russian tennis player fined $8,000 for behavior at Wimbledon

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva has been fined $8,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct during her Wimbledon fourth-round match against American Madison Keys, Sky Sports reports.
On Monday, the 16-year-old Russian woman failed to reach the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, losing to the US representative with a score of 6:3, 6:7 (4:7), 2:6.
During the match, the Russian woman threw her racket after losing a set. For such actions, she received a warning.
Later, Andreeva threw the racket again, for which the judge awarded a point to her opponent. Mirra herself stated that she slipped and fell. After the match, she refused to shake hands with the referee of the meeting.
Earlier it became known that Andreeva will earn more than 260 thousand dollars for her performance at Wimbledon.
