Pivovarova appreciated the passage of three Russian tennis players at once to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon
The former second racket of the world among juniors Anastasia Pivovarova, in an interview with Gazeta.Ru, assessed the achievement of Russian tennis players at Wimbledon: three players reached the quarterfinals of this tournament at once – Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Roman Safiullin.
In the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, Medvedev will play American Christopher Eubanks. The match will take place on July 12 with the second start on court number 1 – after the game between Arina Sobolenko and Madison Keys. Rublev lost his quarterfinal to Novak Djokovic the day before (6:4, 1:6, 4:6, 3:6), while Safiullin lost to Yannick Sinner (4:6, 6:3, 2:6, 2:6).
– I, of course, was glad to see all the guys in the ¼ finals of Wimbledon. It’s always nice to see that we have so many talented guys who are drawn to each other, one bypasses the other, but they all move together. And it’s even more pleasant to see that they all communicate well with each other and are friends. I have a very warm attitude towards these players and I am grateful for the highest level of tennis that they demonstrate, making us happy,” said Pivovarova.
