Selivanenko called Medvedev’s closest rival one of the season’s discoveries in men’s tennis
Vice-President of the Russian Tennis Federation Alexei Selivanenko, in an interview with Vprognoze.ru, shared his expectations from the quarterfinal match at Wimbledon, in which Russian Daniil Medvedev will play with American Christopher Eubanks.
Earlier in the 1/8 finals Eubanks defeated the fifth racket of the world Stefanos Tsitsipas – the match lasted five sets and ended with a score of 3:6, 7:6 (7:4), 3:6, 6:4, 6:4.
“The odds are always either win or lose. Both Daniel and Christopher show confident tennis at Wimbledon. Christopher was one of the tour’s highlights this season. Both opponents are distinguished by their original style of play, it will be interesting to see their confrontation in the quarterfinals, – said Selivanenko.
