Selivanenko told how Medvedev managed to turn the tide of the match with Eubanks at Wimbledon

Alexei Selivanenko, vice president of the Russian Tennis Federation, commented on Daniil Medvedev’s advance to the Wimbledon semi-finals, noting that the Russian turned the tide of the match with American Christopher Eubanks due to his experience in big matches.

Medvedev beat Eubanks in five games to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals for the first time. Prior to this draw, the best result of the 27-year-old Russian in the tournament was the fourth round in 2021.

– The Wimbledon quarter-final does not involve easy matches. In the second and third sets, Daniil visually lost concentration and missed the threads of the game for some time. And then he managed to endure this segment and, due to the experience of big matches, gradually return to the game and turn its course in his favor, – RB Sport quotes Selivanenko.

Medvedev for reaching the final of Wimbledon will argue with the first racket of the world Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
