“If Medvedev does not improve, then tenacity alone in defense with Alcaraz will not be enough for him” – Olkhovsky
The winner of two Grand Slam tournaments in mixed doubles Andrey Olkhovsky said that Russian Daniil Medvedev needs to show an active game against Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon semifinals.
Medvedev (3rd seed) and Alcaraz (1) reached the semi-finals of the Wimbledon tournament for the first time in their careers.
– I think that if Daniil does not improve, then one tenacity in defense with Alcaraz will not be enough for him. Medvedev himself needs to play more actively than in the previous match against Eubanks. Alcaraz will play very fast, there will be little time to respond. It is imperative to keep the serve and also try to play actively, – Olkhovsky is quoted by RB Sport.
