Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev managed to recover in time for the semifinals of the Wimbledon tournament against the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, according to the former second racket of the world among juniors Anastasia Pivovarova.
In the Wimbledon ¼ final match, Medvedev defeated the American Christopher Eubanks in five games, the meeting lasted almost three hours.
– Perhaps this will give some advantage to Alcaraz, but Medvedev is already such a tennis player who has learned to play in five sets, can withstand long matches and play for two weeks in big tournaments. I am sure that Medvedev’s team will be able to restore it. Here his mood for the match will be more influenced,” Gazeta.Ru quoted Pivovarova as saying.
The match between Medvedev and Alcaraz in the Wimbledon semi-finals will take place on July 14.
