Djokovic outplays Sinner to reach Wimbledon final

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated Italian Yannick Sinner in the semi-finals of the Wimbledon tournament.

The meeting ended with a score of 6:3, 6:4, 7:6 (7:4) in favor of the second-seeded Serb. The meeting lasted 2 hours and 47 minutes.

Djokovic is a seven-time Wimbledon champion and will play in the final for the ninth time in his career. The opponent of the 36-year-old Serb will be determined by the results of the match between Russian Daniil Medvedev (3rd seed) and Spaniard Carlos Alcaras (1).

    Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova and American Venus Williams failed to reach the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne.

    In the first round match, Alexandrova and Williams lost to the duo Emilian Arango/Elsa Jacquemot (Colombia/France) with a score of 6:7 (3:7), 4:6. The meeting lasted 1 hour 29 minutes.

    33-year-old former world No. 1 and Czech tennis player Carolina Pliskova (WTA1057) has made a successful start to the 2026 Australian Open.

    In the first round, the Czech defeated the 32-year-old American in two sets. Sloane Stephens (WTA 1102) in 1 hour 35 minutes.
