Marketa VONDROUSZOVA: “It’s amazing that I can hold this trophy”
Czech tennis player Marketa Vondrousova (WTA number 42) shared her feelings about the victory over Ounce Jaber (6:4, 6:4) in the final of the Wimbledon tournament.

Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova and American Venus Williams failed to reach the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne.
In the first round match, Alexandrova and Williams lost to the duo Emilian Arango/Elsa Jacquemot (Colombia/France) with a score of 6:7 (3:7), 4:6. The meeting lasted 1 hour 29 minutes.

33-year-old former world No. 1 and Czech tennis player Carolina Pliskova (WTA1057) has made a successful start to the 2026 Australian Open.
