Russian tennis players do not want to see at the tournament in Poland
The organizers of the tennis tournament in Poland did not recommend Russian and Belarusian players to apply for participation in the competition.
The website of the Challenger series tournament in the city of Grodzisk-Mazowiecki says that due to the situation in Ukraine, the performance of Russians and Belarusians is not welcome, and they are not guaranteed access to participate in competitions. The tournament will be held from 14 to 19 August.
Associations of professional tennis players and the Women’s Tennis Association allow the Russians to the tournaments in a neutral status.
In March, the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that international federations, if Russians are allowed to start, carry it out individually, in a neutral status, without participating in team events, and also exclude the participation of athletes associated with law enforcement agencies.
