Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina and her husband Gaelic Monfils Today, July 16, we celebrate our second anniversary.
“If I know what love is, it’s only because of you 🥰 Happy birthday darling,” Elina wrote on Instagram.
“Two years ago we sealed our love with yes, and every day since then has been a celebration of that promise. Last year our family was replenished with a little princess Skye. His appearance brought indescribable joy and added a new dimension to our love. I am grateful for every moment we spent together on this second wedding anniversary, for our love that continues to grow and strengthen. Thank you my love and our wonderful Skye for making every day special. May our life path always be an adventure full of joy and love. “My heart is overflowing with love for both of you,” Gael replied.
The couple also posted a joint photo on Instagram of a hard court that hints at the preparations for the American tournament series.

Alexandrova and Venus Williams failed to reach the second round of the Australian Open in doubles
Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova and American Venus Williams failed to reach the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne.
In the first round match, Alexandrova and Williams lost to the duo Emilian Arango/Elsa Jacquemot (Colombia/France) with a score of 6:7 (3:7), 4:6. The meeting lasted 1 hour 29 minutes.
The next rivals of Arango and Jacquemot will be the winners of the meeting McCartney Kessler/Jessica Pegula (both USA) – Gabriela Dabrowski/Louise Stefani (Canada/Italy, 5).

33-year-old former world No. 1 and Czech tennis player Carolina Pliskova (WTA1057) has made a successful start to the 2026 Australian Open.
