Gone are those battles that could last hours and hours fifth set of a Grand Slam. From 2022the four tournaments large of the circuit’s combined criteria for defining this fifth round: the so-called super tie-break is contested.

How is the fifth set defined in a Grand Slam?
Unlike the rest of the races on the circuit, the four Grand Slams (Australia, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open) are played in the best of five sets. And while in the first four heats the tiebreak consists of a classic tiebreak (at seven points, with a difference of two), in the fifth the super tie breaker.
This tiebreak system is similar to that of the previous four sets and is played after 6-6. But instead of having the 7-point like the score to achieve, this goal reaches 10maintaining the need to export two point difference.
That is, you can win the super tiebreak with 10-8 (or less competitive points), but for example, in case of an indicator of 10-9you must arrive 11-9 and so on.
