Nadal congratulates Alcaraz on Wimbledon victory
Legendary Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal congratulated 20-year-old Carlos Alcaraz on his victory at Wimbledon.
“Congratulations Carlos! You have made us very happy today and I am sure Spanish tennis pioneer Manolo Santana supported you too, maybe you also won at Wimbledon right now. Big hugs, enjoy the second champion,” Nadal tweeted.
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Serbian Novak Djokovic in five sets in the Wimbledon 2023 final, which interrupted his four-year hegemony in the tournament.
Recall that the Spanish Santana was a four-time Grand Slam champion. He won Roland Garros in 1961 and 1964, and also won the US Open in 1965 and Wimbledon in 1966.
enhorabuena @carlosalcaraz . Nos, tennis español, Manolo Santana has the greatest alegría inmensa hoy and seguro, which are pioneers in tennis español, refreshingly as it has all unido at Wimbledon.
