The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has suspended American tennis player Sydney Dorsil for four years.

The reason is an anti-doping rule violation.

Dorsil passed the test during the tournament in Lima (Peru) in November 2022. Boldenone and its metabolites, which are banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, were found in the samples taken by the tennis player.

The American tried to prove the accident of the violation committed in order to obtain a two-year disqualification. He claimed that the presence of boldenone in the body was the result of a contaminated vitamin B12 injection. However, the ITIA investigation did not find that the anti-doping rule violation was unintentional. As a result, the agency upheld the four-year ban.

Sydney Dorsil suspended until 12 January 2027. The best achievement of an American in the WTA ranking is 1225th place.
