Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva is capable of winning Grand Slam tournaments and can enter the top ten tennis players in the world, according to former second racket of the world among juniors Anastasia Pivovarova.
– Mirra Andreeva among the girls was the only Russian woman who pleased with her success. She is self-confident, she does not care who to play with.
She caught courage and goes to her goal. It has already entered the top 70 of the rating and is rapidly gaining momentum. I think that she is capable of winning Grand Slam tournaments and can enter the top ten tennis players in the world. But how soon this will happen, I can’t predict, I don’t want to guess.
We had bright stars in the women’s tour in recent years, but, unfortunately, they quickly faded away. Therefore, Mirra should not be rushed – she is already running ahead of the locomotive.
She rises very high for her age, and I want her to create a solid base of confidence for herself, to find her own game, thanks to which she can beat top tennis players. I wish her to develop as a full-fledged player and confidently become one of the leaders of the rating for many years,” Gazeta.Ru quotes Pivovarova.
Andreeva takes 66th place in the ranking of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). The Russian has participated in two Grand Slam tournaments: she reached the third round of the French Open, and also reached the fourth round of Wimbledon.
