Ukrainian tennis player Julia Starodubtseva (WTA 294) recognized his opponent in the semi-finals of the tough ITF W60 series tournament in Evansville (USA).

Ukrainian will meet Madison Brengle (USA, WTA 102) defeated Nefisa Berberovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina, WTA 360) in two sets in 1 hour and 20 minutes in the third round of the competition.

Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova and American Venus Williams failed to reach the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne.

In the first round match, Alexandrova and Williams lost to the duo Emilian Arango/Elsa Jacquemot (Colombia/France) with a score of 6:7 (3:7), 4:6. The meeting lasted 1 hour 29 minutes.

33-year-old former world No. 1 and Czech tennis player Carolina Pliskova (WTA1057) has made a successful start to the 2026 Australian Open.

In the first round, the Czech defeated the 32-year-old American in two sets. Sloane Stephens (WTA 1102) in 1 hour 35 minutes.
