Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev at the tournament in Bostad (Sweden) maintains a high level of play, which he showed at Wimbledon, said Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation Alexei Selivanenko.
On Friday, Rublev, seeded under the second number, beat the representative of Germany Alexander Zverev (5) in the quarterfinals of the tournament with a score of 6:2, 6:3.
– Rublev continued to play at the same high level at which he played at Wimbledon. In the match with Zverev, he acted confidently, made early breaks and did not give his opponent a chance to return to the fight. Andrey played in a style that makes it possible to defeat any opponents.
It cannot be said that Alexander demonstrated his best tennis. Rublev scored an excellent victory over a high-class opponent who did not show his full potential, Selivanenko told Vprognoze.ru.
For reaching the final, Rublev will play with the Argentinean Francisco Cherundolo (fourth seed).
