Bindl beat the 88th racket of the WTA 250 tournament in Budapest to reach the final.

Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl (WTA 100) reached the finals of the WTA 250 soil tournament held in Budapest (Hungary).

Ukrainian beat the US representative in two sets Claire Liu (WTA 88) at 2 hours 25 minutes.

Claire Liu (USA) – Katerina Beindl (Ukraine) – 5:7, 6:7 (3:7)

It was the first meeting of tennis players.

Katerina won 2 matches in one day. Earlier, she had beaten Ukrainian player Fanny Shtolar in the quarterfinals.

In the final of the competition, Beindl will play against the country representative 404 Maria Timofeeva (WTA 246).

For Katerina, this will be the 2nd final at WTA 250 level. Lost to Timei Babos in a tournament in Taiwan in 2018 (moved to Taipei since 2017).
