Alexei Selivanenko, Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation, member of the ITF Board of Directors, noted that the match between Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev and Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo in the semi-finals of the tournament in Bostad, Sweden, turned out to be interesting.

The meeting lasted 2 hours 47 minutes and ended with Rublev’s victory with a score of 7:6 (8:6), 6:7 (7:9), 6:3

— It was a very interesting match with excellent tennis. Rublev’s opponent is one of the fastest progressing players on the tour. It is very interesting to watch him. Argentines, in principle, are famous for their dirt traditions. And Serundolo is potentially a very strong player. The fate of two sets was decided in a tie-break, and Andrey managed to achieve superiority only in the middle of the third set. And until that moment, there was an equal fight on the court, – Selivanenko told Vprognoze.ru.

On Sunday, Rublev will play in the final of the ATP 250 clay tournament in Sweden’s Båstad against world No. 4 Kasper Ruud. The meeting is scheduled for 15:00 Moscow time.
