Russian Timofeeva climbed more than 100 positions in the WTA rankings

Russian tennis player Maria Timofeeva has climbed 117 positions in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking, an updated version of which was published on the organization’s website.

On Sunday, 19-year-old Timofeeva won her first WTA title, defeating Ukrainian Katerina Beindl in the final of the tournament in Budapest. The tennis player has moved in the ranking from 246th to 129th place and now occupies the highest position in her career.

The best of the Russians is Daria Kasatkina. She is on the 11th line.
